How to Tie a Tie by Stanley Lewis
Learn how to tie a tie knot, in simple step by step instructions explained by Stanley Lewis – Inspired by the need for balance.
There are an endless array of tie knots to choose from but the two most admired and impressive tie knots are The Windsor knot and the Four-in-Hand knot. When selecting a tie knot style consider the thickness of the tie. A tie that is too thick may not present well as a Windsor knot but be more apt for a Four-in-Hand knot. Likewise, a tie which is too thin and lightweight may make the Four-in-Hand knot appear limp and insignificant and be more suited to the Windsor knot.
Another key element to consider is the spread of your shirt collar. The correct tie knot is one which fills the collar area of your shirt appropriately. A full Windsor knot works best with a wider collar area while the Four-in-Hand and Half Windsor knot suit a narrower spread shirt collar.
The Ascot or Cravat
Do not be alarmed- tying an ascot or cravat is as simple as tying any other necktie. If you are wearing a sports coat and button down shirt, tie the Ascot or Cravat in the same manner you would tie a normal tie. Another option is to wear the Ascot in a similar way as you would wear a scarf - tie a knot in the Ascot or Cravat and Voila!
The Bow Tie
Last but by no means least, is the effervescent Bow Tie. Always remember your bow tie should never be broader than the widest part of your neck and should never extend past the tips of the shirt collar. Be diligent through the learning process, and although it can be frustrating, there is a certain satisfaction one gets when one does master the art of tying a bow tie.

How to fold a pocket square and tie a Windsor knot
Learn How to fold a pocket square in simple steps:
There are three different ways of folding a pocket square. These include the one, two, three fold pocket square, the flat pocket square fold and the puffed pocket square fold. The most classic is the puffed pocket square fold.
Here are some easy steps to a puffed pocket square fold:
1.Lay the pochette flat on a surface. Pick it up from the middle.
2.Tuck the sides in
3.Hold the pocket square with one hand. With the other, gather it closely
4.Now gather the bottom of the pochette
5.Tuck it into the pocket of your suit.
The great thing about this style of folding the pocket square is that you get to see more of the fabric. It adds more colour to your suit and you can show off that designer pocket square that you just bought.
Folding a pocket square or tying the Windsor knot might take some practice. But once you get it right, they’ll hold you in good stead in any meeting or formal dinner. Nothing like a crisp, immaculate look to make the right impression!
Silver cufflinks for a perfect silver anniversary gift
Looking for the perfect gift for your hubby on 25th marriage anniversary? How about surprising your husband with Silver Cufflinks!!!I am pretty sure he would love this anniversary surprise.
Just like diamonds are a girl’s best friend, designer cufflinks are a man’s real buddies. They make him look good, last forever and up his confidence. There is no better way to mark twenty-five years of togetherness than with a pair of durable and sophisticated silver cufflinks that he would love to flaunt.
Finding something in silver for your man on your 25th wedding anniversary can be truly daunting and let’s face it – there aren’t too many options for him. Of all the really thoughtful gifts that you could give your man, a pair of men’s cufflinks in silver would be something that he would cherish (and would not make him cringe).
There are several options in silver men’s cufflinks. These include:
1. Plain silver cufflinks: To be safe, you could buy your husband cufflinks in silver with a matte finish. Shiny silver cufflinks can also dress up any shirt. For a truly special gift, make sure you buy designer cufflinks that are hand-made in Italy . These look absolutely exquisite and will go all his formal and semi-formal clothes. Blue, maroon, white, grey, black, beige, navy – every color that you can think of in his wardrobe can be beautifully complemented with silver cufflinks.
2. Jewel encrusted: If your husband likes everything that is opulent and luxurious, opt for designer cufflinks that are encrusted with semi-precious stones and fitted in silver. You could choose from topaz, amethysts, garnets, turquoise, corals and dozens of other gems, set in the finest silver, forming a pair of beautiful men’s cufflinks.
3. Porcelain cufflinks: Porcelain cufflinks are unusual and are for those who love to experiment with their style. Choose disorderly porcelain cufflinks fitted in silver with colors like pastel green and pinks for a semi-formal look.
When buying cufflinks, it’s important to keep your husband’s personality and lifestyle in mind. If he likes a particularly understated look, buy regular silver cufflinks. If his lifestyle involves business meetings with high-profile clients, you might want to choose jewel-encrusted cufflinks. After all, the idea is that he would use the cufflinks you gift him as often as possible.
After you’ve decided what sort of cufflinks you want to buy go through websites offering men’s cufflinks. There are several designers like Stanley Lewis, who specialize in designing men’s accessories. If this is a gift for a special occasion, buying it from a design house won’t hurt – it’ll cost you lesser than you think.
If you follow these guidelines, chances of going wrong are really remote. Buy him the perfect cufflinks this anniversary and watch his eyes light up when he sees them!
